Its intrinsic strength and tensile strength not only render the concrete waterproof but also increase its toughness, allowing it to withstand long-term fatigue arising from dynamic loads on the structure
D-Fend I is a unique waterproofing system that uses an impregnation and coating combination to provide waterproof protection. This product is a low viscosity (2-5 cps), high tensile, and compressive thermoset polymer, designed specifically for bridge deck structures.

Principle Advantages

  • The D-Fend I have an extremely low viscosity, which allows it to penetrate deep into the pores of the concrete. This impregnation action also makes them almost inseparable from the concrete, resulting in a very durable seal.
  • This product can permeate through even the smallest of cracks, at 0.025mm. It strengthens the concrete matrix by improving the binding between the cement and aggregates.
  • It renders the surface of the concrete waterproof.
  • It has high elasticity that provides sufficient flexibility to withstand cyclic loading. And has a great crack bridging ability as well.
